Biting into the juiciest watermelon on this balmy hot evening, I am celebrating the finish of a fun piece commissioned by a friend. She had an old five-strand twisted watermelon pink coral necklace and wanted something contemporary and fun made out of it. For those of you who know my work, I have never used pink before~ However, it had been a fun project and the result is this adorable long necklace.
It has a sterling silver cut-out shape of an oriental cloud in a brushed finish, with freshwater pearls around the neck, and the watermelon-pink coral strands hang as a curtain of beads which swish down the front of the wearer.
Perfect for dressing up when going to a girly afternoon tea with your best mates! 😀
